class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Historical legend declared that Kyaik Htee Yoe was established by Tissa King (Mon King) more than 2500 years ago. Moreover, the pagoda was constructed on top of a hair relic that the Budda himself had given to a hermit. Before discovering a boulder that inspired his own head on which he could possibly place the pagoda to keep the sacred hair, he kept it in his hair knot.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The source of the name &#8220;Kyaik Htee Yoe&#8221; come from Mon language &#8220;the pagoda carried on a hermit&#8217;s head&#8221;. &#8220;Kyaik&#8221; means &#8220;pagoda&#8221;, &#8220;Htee&#8221; means &#8220;hermit&#8221;, and &#8220;Yoe&#8221; means &#8220;to carry on the head&#8221;. Nowadays, it is also known as the Golden Rock Pagoda.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The Kyaik Htee Yoe pagoda is located on top of Mt. Kyaik Htee Yoe at 3615 feet (1102 meters) above level, in the Mon State and approximately 130 miles (210 km) from Yangon.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
