pagoda is also known as “Banana Mountain Pagoda” by the locals, even it is not a hill to climb”. It is originated around 20 years ago, when the villagers noticed that a devoted monk would spend weeks alone meditating in the area. The surrounding was the jungle at that time, and the now-landscaped site used to resemble like a “banana mountain”.
The complex features four massive seated Buddha statues facing the cardinal directions, centered around a nine-story tower that visitors can climb for panoramic views. Additionally, there is a large reclining Buddha statue, and the site continues to expand with ongoing construction projects.
For tourists or visitors, a delicious vegetarian lunch is provided by the monastery for free and donations appreciated.
